Portsmouth Kitchen Transformation

Location: Portsmouth  |  Project: Doors and Worktops  |  Customer: Carol/brian

Project Overview

Carol and brian wanted their Portsmouth kitchen to feel lighter and more up to date, without changing the layout they were happy with. By updating both the doors and worktops, we were able to refresh the whole space so it feels calmer, brighter and more cohesive with their existing tiled splashback.

What We Changed

We replaced the existing cabinet fronts with new Horton doors in a soft Cashmere Matt finish. This classic, Shaker-inspired style adds subtle detail while keeping the overall look simple and modern.

The old work surfaces were upgraded to White Glitter quartz overlays, fitted directly over existing worktops — no messy rip‑outs — for less disruption and a quicker install. The pale surface, with its gentle sparkle, reflects the natural light from the window and pairs neatly with the brass knobs and tap. We also incorporated an integrated drainer alongside the white sink for a clean, seamless finish around the main prep area.

Fact Table

The Result

The combination of Cashmere Matt Horton doors and White Glitter quartz gives this kitchen a gentle, modern character while still feeling warm and homely. The lighter worktops brighten the main cooking and sink areas, and the new doors tie in well with the patterned floor tiles and colourful splashback. Brass hardware and tap stand out cleanly against the neutral cabinetry, creating a balanced look that feels refreshed but not stark.
