Project Overview

This Tadley kitchen has been transformed from a warm wood and black gloss scheme into a softer, lighter space. Charles chose Matt Light Grey Jones doors and bright White Sparkle quartz overlays to create a calmer, more contemporary look while keeping the existing layout. The new finishes help the room feel more open and streamlined, especially around the window run.

What We Changed

The original timber-effect doors were replaced with Matt Light Grey Jones doors, bringing in a cleaner, more modern line throughout the U-shaped layout. These are paired with simple bar handles to maintain a practical, easy-to-use kitchen. Dark, glossy worktops were upgraded to White Sparkle quartz overlays, fitted directly over existing worktops — no messy rip‑outs — for less disruption and a quicker install. Matching upstands and a neatly integrated gas hob complete the refreshed, cohesive design.

The Result

The combination of Matt Light Grey cabinetry and White Sparkle quartz makes the kitchen feel noticeably brighter and more spacious, particularly by the window where the lighter surfaces reflect both natural and task lighting. The integrated gas hob, sink and appliances sit smoothly within the new worktops, giving the whole run a more unified appearance. Charles keeps the same practical layout he is used to, but with a far more modern, understated finish that will stay looking fresh for years.
