Project Overview

Christine wanted to refresh her grey kitchen without replacing the units she was still happy with. By upgrading the worktops to bright, polished quartz, we were able to transform the whole feel of the space while keeping the existing layout intact. The kitchen now feels lighter, more modern and better connected to the adjoining seating area.

What We Changed

We replaced the original wood-effect laminate with new White Sparkle quartz overlay worktops, fitted directly over existing worktops — no messy rip‑outs — for less disruption and a quicker install. The crisp white surface with subtle sparkle catches the light from the patio doors and windows, balancing the grey cabinetry and colourful tiled splashback. The new worktops run across the main preparation areas and peninsula, creating a brighter, more cohesive finish throughout the kitchen.

The Result

The new White Sparkle surfaces immediately lift the room, reflecting more natural light and giving the kitchen a cleaner, more contemporary look. Against the grey doors and multicoloured tiles, the worktops act as a neutral anchor, helping the feature splashback to stand out without feeling heavy. The breakfast bar area now feels brighter and more inviting for everyday use, all achieved without a full refit.
