Terri wanted her Chester kitchen to feel softer and more refined without the disruption of a full refit. By updating the cabinetry and worktops, we were able to balance the characterful brick arch and beams with a calmer, lighter look. The new finishes bring a gentle warmth and a more contemporary feel to this well-used space.
The original oak doors and dark laminate worktops made the kitchen feel heavy and dated. We replaced the doors with our Melrose style in Matt Kashmir, introducing a smooth, shaker-inspired look in a soft neutral tone that works well with the existing flooring and exposed brick. Calcatta Canyon quartz overlay worktops were then installed across the sink, hob and oven runs, fitted directly over existing worktops — no messy rip‑outs — for less disruption and a quicker install. A simple bar-style overhang at the hob end provides a practical perch while keeping the run streamlined.

The overall effect is quietly modern and cohesive, giving Terri a refreshed space that feels considered and welcoming.
