Project Overview

This Dunstable kitchen has been refreshed with a richer, more contemporary look while keeping the existing layout intact. Deep blue cabinetry now anchors the space, balanced by bright marble-style worktops that reflect light and create a calmer feel. The overall effect is a kitchen that feels smarter, more spacious and better suited to modern family life.

What We Changed

We replaced the old cupboard fronts with new Taunton doors in Marine Blue Superior, bringing a clean Shaker style and inky tone to the room. To lift and lighten the space, we installed Carrara Gold quartz overlays across the worktops, fitted directly over existing worktops — no messy rip‑outs — for less disruption and a quicker install. The updated surfaces run seamlessly around the sink and cooking areas, working alongside the white ceramic sink and warm metallic handles and tap to give a coordinated, up-to-date finish.

The Result

The new Marine Blue Superior cabinetry now frames the kitchen and makes the white ceramic sink and brushed brass details stand out. Carrara Gold worktops add a light, subtly veined surface that brightens the room and provides plenty of practical prep space. Under-cabinet lighting enhances the soft sheen of the quartz and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels considered without being overly formal.
