Project Overview

Brian and Judith wanted to refresh their Pontyclun kitchen without changing the overall layout that already worked well for them. By upgrading the worktops, the aim was to create a brighter, more contemporary feel that tied in with their existing units and splashback. Joe’s Doors recommended a durable quartz overlay in a crisp finish to lift the whole space.

What We Changed

This project focused solely on the work surfaces. We installed new White Sparkle quartz overlay worktops, fitted directly over existing worktops — no messy rip‑outs — for less disruption and a quicker install. The new surfaces run seamlessly around the U-shaped layout, including the sink and hob areas, giving the kitchen a clean, modern look and reflecting light back into the room.

The Result

The White Sparkle finish gives the kitchen a bright, polished appearance, complementing the existing cabinetry and bold green splashback. The subtle sparkle in the surface adds interest without overpowering the rest of the room, while the smooth runs of worktop provide generous, practical preparation space. Brian and Judith now have a kitchen that feels refreshed and contemporary, achieved with minimal disruption to their home.
