Project Overview

Joe’s Doors helped Mrs Sparks transform her Gloucester kitchen by refreshing the dark, patterned laminate worktops with bright, marble-effect quartz. The new surfaces work with the natural light from the large window to create a calmer, more open feel, while retaining her existing layout and cabinetry.

What We Changed

The existing laminate worktops were replaced with Vitton quartz overlays, bringing in a soft white background with subtle grey veining. This lighter finish runs seamlessly across the main runs and island, helping to visually declutter the space and modernise the look around the grey sink and splashback. The overlays were fitted directly over existing worktops — no messy rip‑outs — for less disruption and a quicker install.

The Result

The kitchen now feels noticeably brighter and more cohesive, with the Vitton worktops reflecting light across the island and perimeter units. The continuous marble-effect surface softens the contrast with the cabinetry and grey splashback, giving the room a more contemporary yet timeless appearance, all achieved without changing the existing units.
