Project Overview

Daniel’s Rugby kitchen already had a good layout, but the original white gloss doors no longer matched the contemporary look he wanted. By updating just the doors, we were able to give the space a more architectural, modern feel without altering the units or worktops. The new finish ties in neatly with the existing grey tiles and wood tones for a calm, cohesive look.

What We Changed

We replaced all of the existing cabinet and drawer fronts with new made-to-measure Duleek doors in Matt Dark Concrete. The handleless profile runs right around the room, from the tall oven housing to the island and sink run, creating clean horizontal lines and a more streamlined appearance. End panels and visible gable ends were matched to the new doors so the whole kitchen reads as one continuous, modern scheme while working with Daniel’s existing worktops, flooring and appliances.

The Result

The kitchen has moved from bright gloss to a more refined, contemporary aesthetic. The Matt Dark Concrete doors add depth and texture, framing the hob, ovens and sink area while sitting comfortably alongside the warm wood worktops and flooring. With the consistent handleless lines and co-ordinating panels, the whole space now feels more considered and up to date, all achieved with minimal disruption by keeping the existing carcasses in place.
